For our question, the sources did. We read Google’s AI Overview for one buyer question every day at 9:00 for a week (United States, English, desktop, Oct 26 to Nov 1) with a Hasmord Question Monitor. An AI Overview showed on all 5 days that were collected; the sources under it came from 12 different sites, and only 2 came back on a second day. What stayed the same was the point the answers weighed: the product’s core use case. One check shows you one day; seven show you the pattern.
Does Google’s AI Overview give the same answer every day? We tracked one buyer question for seven days.
In Hasmord, Question monitors sit under AEO/GEO. Each one reads Google’s AI Overview for one buyer question, every day at 9 a.m., for seven fixed days.
This one follows a buyer question for EchoSubs AI, a subtitle tool: how do I remove hardcoded subtitles from a video, and replace them with another language?
Google showed an AI Overview on all five days it was collected. It never mentioned EchoSubs, and never cited its site. Two days were not collected, and the page marks them.
Each day keeps the overview’s own text, the sources under it, and whether it mentioned you. On October 26, three sources.
On October 27, three different ones.
By October 29, three more, and none of them from the first day.
Across the week, the sources came from twelve different sites. Only two came back on a second day. One check shows you one day. Seven show you the pattern.
What stayed the same was the point the answers weighed: the core use case. So the suggested next step is to add the facts your product data doesn’t state yet.
Add information opens the product information for EchoSubs. Core use case: not stated. That’s the first thing to fill in, before you watch the question again.
